Superb Bronze by Max Le Verrier dating to Circa 1935 - French Art Deco Sculpture. This is the famous 'Walking Lion' sculpture Le Verrier sculpted in front of the Lion cages belong to the Bouglione Circus at the Jardin d’acclimatation in Paris (see picture). The piece is signed to the base. This is large and heavy sculpture but makes for a very striking view in my Gallery. This sculpture is featured in many publicatons on Art Deco Sculpture.
